Manifattura CBM is born in Prato in December 1963 as throws and blankets’ manufacturer, selling at the beginning just on the italian market and then expanding worldwide. The first real change happened in the early 90’s with the debut in the family business of Cristina Chiti, daughter of the founder Paolo Chiti, in the role of stylist, model maker and designer. Manifattura CBM successfully made its way in the fashion world and quickly became a leader in the fashion accessories’ world producing innovative and trendy items such as shawls, ponchos, capes and scarves; everything is designed and created in our factory. This new collection has promptly become a leading product of the company and the distribution has quickly developed in Italy and eventually in the international market. In 2011 the company opens doors to the third generation with Alberto, Cristina’s son, mechanical expert who immediately gives his contribution to the growth of the company introducing innovative machines to speed up the productivity and optimize new items’ production. Since that moment the company aims its vision on sustainability.
